The International Jazz Festival of Kardamili
Kardamili hosts the jazz festival every year for one week starting the first Saturday in May. The festival has become a special “colorful” event that fills Mani and its visitors with musical notes and smiles!
Since its inaugural year (2014) the International Jazz Festival of Kardamili has grown and in 2019 featured bands from 8 countries (Norway, Greece, USA, Austria, Scotland, England, Sweden and Argentina) who played some 50 concerts over the week in Kardamili’s cafes, bars, tavernas and restaurants.
This is an inexpensive time to visit and is certainly a major attraction for jazz lovers with the bonus of atmospheric surroundings, beautiful scenery and warm spring sunshine.
Wherever you are and where you stand those days you will hear at least one saxophone: from the morning and until late at night.
The shops are preparing several events, special menus and surprises for the participants who open the jazz tourist season in an event that advertises the Messinian Mani in the best way, all over the world! The next festival in Kardamili 2020 will be May 9-16, I hope see you there!
